In a Silicon Valley meets Switzerland event more than 5 years ago, we also talked about fully driverless cars.
Folks were optimistic back then. Looks like the road to fully driver-less cars is much more bumpy and Elon Musk will probably also have to admit that at some point.
Nevertheless, I think we will eventually see this coming out. The momentum in AI investments is huge and this will for sure also lead to new breakthroughs that eventually also will help this application.
When is that going to be?
No idea, but we will interview some experts and ask them that question of course too.
Why this pic here? I think we will sooner see self-flying copters than self-driving cars as the technical challenges are actually smaller although regulations are much tougher.
